.........Noice mate.! Pity I cant go with the R1 Calipers

Why is that, Chrisso?? Is there a clearance problem with the wheel spokes??
..  Exactly. Apparently I could try older Brembo's. But until I have the funds new front end shall wait.

I bought a complete set off a wrecked R1 and fitted them. It came with calipers and master cylinder. I used my original Hel Braided lines.

hey Kiwi
the bluespots are great - they give "feel" to the braking unlike the OEM single pot calipers which IMHO are effective but "wooden".
The master cylinder is off a Kwaka Z750R - not sure about the dia but certain it's smaller than the OEM.

Saturday October 3
Mitchell (No 3 son) had arranged to do a track day and I was planning to pit for him until he asked why I wasn't
doing the track as well - enough said - I was in, and what better for a penultimate ride on the long suffering machine
before I strip her down for a freshen up.
It took me the first two sessions before I was happy to gas the big girl but gas he I did - heading thru the kink at the end of the straight at 180, full on the gas exiting the Bus Stop with the rear squirming around under me - it was frelling awesome - tyres got all gooey around the edges -great.......
I ran the same tyre pressures I use on the street but in hindsight could have dropped the rear a couple of PSI -
I haven't had this much fun since I chased that guy on tHE Honda on the way back from Wellington this year...... ;)
