Thanks Jeff, that sounds like a good idea,
Most of the info I garned was from reviews n experience with these. They have won several awards and the tital seems to go back n forth from Phillips to these guys whenever a new model is released

Brett........seeing you are a fan of minimization of wiring and associated features I would certainly retain the " safety feature" RLU (reserve lighting unit) which will switch to the opposite beam from a blown filament situation on your headlight.
We as motorcycle riders can t have a possible blackout situation whilst night riding......it only takes a split second to have an "OFF".
Most light sources will deteriorate in output as they age. Some more than others. I recommend changing old headlight lamps as a result of age..as well as failure to work and degradation which is a gradual , often not recognized reason as to why the headlight just does nt seem as bright as it used to be. Advances in manufacturing and materials are another reason.
Do try and read reviews on these products if any are available rather than rely on the blurb and claims printed on the box.
I for one have an issue with headlight inserts that are more to the "blue" end of the color spectrum when riding at night and more so............at night in the wet. They don t work for "my eyes". They may work for other people .and therein lies another dilemma. There s no argument...... brighter is better..............but the range of color when you have nt got extreme light output ...such as your headlight... is a choice you will instantly determine when out on the road.

They did say on the last edition (on the packaging)that the life was shorter but for the extra light I think that is a fair trade. Haven't seen the same said in any of the marketing of these latest ones so will see how they go. Some say if you don't get any finger prints on them they last 2 years. $36 for 4 years sounds ok if I can see well at night.

I was thinking of converting to HID but these sound almost as good.
There is a specific type sold in single pack for motorbike called Night Racer 110 but I found these for much better value and I hope just the same.
This place was the best value and then you can use the 20% discount for even better value at $36 including postage and even some free side lights that might come in handy for some thing

Oh 20% discount code is performance20
