Our run started mid morning Tuesday following the plan to dawdle along and take 3 days.
day 1 was from home to Ipswich {a suburb outside Brissy} following a few corners sort of on the way in S,E,Q.
Our 2nd was spent idling down to Boonah, Rathdowney, Woodenbong through a magnificent forest drive to Bonalbo, Tenterfield and finally rolling into Armidale just before a heavy shower of rain rolled through, {apart from this rainy evening there was only one other section that we rode on wet roads, but not in any rain the whole trip}
day 3 was spent rolling down the New England to Muswellbrook {chasing a detour recommended by Jonesy,} across to Denman and along the Bylong valley way through to Mudgee and onto Wellington.
This part of the run did show an unusual anomoly, how is the fuel tank electrically wired to the coil system??? it,s got me stonkered, {Michelle blamed me not filling up early enough} {I thought I did pretty good, I was only 3.8klm out on my geustimations on 24 ltrs} my official story is the fuel tank ran dry causing the spark to die, put fuel in the tank and the spark came back, and I,m sticking with this electrical theory.
the get togetherAll Hens hard work has come to fruition, the t-shirts and polo's came up a treat with the official ok from Yamaha to use the copy right insignia, and finding an authorised printing/sewing company thanks again for all your hard work and tenacity at keeping on them John
Michelle excelled again at feeding the hords {with some help from Fay} with chicken rolled in bacon, stuffed with cheese and potato bake for tea on arrival friday night, sorry no pic,
brekkies were the usual tropical fruit platter affair along with bacon, sausages and eggs done again by Eddie,
Saturday night tea was pig on a spit, roast beef joint and roast veges followed by caramel apple crumble and ice cream,
this was my view from the dinner table, Eddies RH and Timbos' std, check the plates
and a few more fellas pitched in as well over the w/end, and Michelle was presented with a box of choccies from Bretts on behalf of the boys
We need to welcome some new faces to our meeting,
Timbo and Fay came down from Gladstone,,, The General, Doug and Dena came down from Buderim on the Sunshine Coast,,
John Bickerton {XS Runner} came up from Batemans Bay,, Dan Tyson {Stralya} come out from Sydney,
Hen bought another non-believer Trev as well as Tom
Saturday dawned with a beautiful day for riding, Jonesy showcased his area to a fair few lads even if it was a revised distance ride,
the stay backs mucked around with some w/shopping, Dans machine had some serious electrical issues, and a couple of oil leaks so we cleaned them up, it wasn,t a complete success, the electricals followed him home and created a couple more and the nice tight feeling half moon seal leaked as well, {most dis-appointing on my part}
Brettys' dusty needed some help on a self inflicted electrical decision so we sorted that almost with a borrowed spare TCI from Jonesy, a horrible grind dusty has was decided is coming out of the final drive,
the awards were handed out
longest pillion,,,,,,,,,,,,,, went to Michelle, again
oldest std,,,,,,,,,,, went to XS runner {John} for his 11/77 fully faired std
oldest RH,,,,,,,,,,,, went to Lou for his 2/81

this 1st yr won by Tim, for a many issue run down
thank you again for all those that attended and made the w/end what it was, another easy going light hearted fun time,
and no doubt at all it will happen again this same time next year
