the headmaster has been canned for the fore-seeable future,
funds that were to be used, plus a bit, have had to be redirected in another direction,, something that couldn,t be ignored

not completely off the the charts but put waaaaaaaaaaaaaay way back down the list
i,m not completely happy about it but I know it will be done one day

Dialing cams to make the amount of air sucked in by the outgoing exhaust gas at the overlap a bit more to increase the air in the pot, am chasing low down torque, remembering this is our cruiser/caravan, and not a drag bike, turbo/supercharged not sure yet,
Am doing my homework and talking to those that have done and do this
 not worried at all about the motor, that will fall together, it's everything else that needs to exact to the enth degree and needs my time ATM

"dialing- in" cams just means shifting the main powerband up or down the rev scale,
stock eleven already sorted 30 years back by people with slide-rules in white coats at the yamaha factory,  8)

 dialing- in applies if cams, valvetrain etc.. are modded
 turbo=basically un-useable power, 600 kilometres per back tyre and ten miles a gallon, melting-hot running temperatures, clutch'll need beefing up etc..

also probably about fifteen years of trial and error before it'll run ok..       :D

having had some time to myself to research, {sitting in coal mines waiting to be unloaded}  I was going with fancying up the motor, port and polished heads then flow test and all the other money pit ideas, but that has now gone by the wayside,

it will have the cams dialled in, it will be fuel injected and forced air inducted, that should make it get up and go  ::) :)

so with projects having being completed and the Headmaster as I,m calling it is slowly moving up the ladder, I,m really starting to get to the nitty gritty in my head,
with unknown forces at play as far as twist and distortion in the frame goes, I,m making the chair frame out of pipe, this pipe will be knotched and welded to the side of the next piece, here,s my question to the boilies, on each of the "butt" welds I,ll be using another half sleeve so as not to weld across the pipe rather only along it.
 I was going to "fish tail" {I HOPE THATS THE RIGHT WORD} taper the ends of the sleeve,
would I leave the ends of the taper open, or weld completely around the whole sleeve

oh yea of little faith,,

over cooking a lefty isn,t a concern as it will be ridden as cruiser with it being loaded and 2 up normally with the trailer looking for the elusive month of sundays,

the other point to consider is the mounts are centred under the machine, so any forces will be pushing the bike out from under you, not trying to go over

Just thinkin some more....if ya overcook a left hander it`s gunna be hard to stop it from standing ya up and giving you a highsider...might have ta install a rider grabhandle on inside of chair ta help hold yourself down, cause you`ll be grappling with sideway momentum of two carriages and a passenger. Turning the front wheel as in speedway will have little affect as the back wheel will be leveraging you up and over with a nice fulcrum point on the tar via at least your fixed rear, but both tyres normally.....mmmm maybe have an emergencey oil squirter aimed at the base of rear tyre ta make things interesting for the camera....strongly suggest not going barefoot!  ::)

Wow! that vid got tha old ticker going.

Hey Geoff my first concern was left handers. Your lean angle, I`m guessing, would be limited by height of chair. That of course varies on the height of the passenger. Given you will probably design for max lean without a passenger, there`s a risk of squashing said passenger when she`s onboard, in say a tight 15klm/hr lefthanders no?

That`ll be handy when ya wanta give her a kiss but a bit scary if she gives ya a hug!

These physics bring a whole new dimension ta having a bit on tha side me thinks!

Also, given the sidecar outer leaning wheel in a right hander takes up a lot of the limited total width of outfit, means the chair will have to be closer to the bike, further limiting lean angle in lefthanders, no?

Strongly suggest use of a dummy for a swinger test pilot. (Any Harley riders up your way?) ...first test could go Viral in your You Tube series, but suggest your camera man be planted in a more conventional vehicle or on Terra firma at tha time.  ;D

now theres an understatement......definitely off the mainstream there ol mate, not my cup of tea but looking forward to the build none the less, what sort of lean angle are you looking to get? Are you going to use your current roundy or got another bike for the job?
