Put the multimeter across the battery.
Engine off 12.4v blinkers worked fine
Engine idling 12.4 v blinkers worked fine
Engine at 2000 rpm 12.8v blinkers stayed on and dulled as the revs increased.

At excess.11 suggestion I changed out the regulator rectifier for a known good one and viola problem fixed.  Thanks Jeff.

Hey Eddy
Your blinker probs sound similar to what 594 was doing on the return leg of last years motogp trip.
I had a melted together plastic electrical connectorbehind fuse box

Eddy...put a volt meter across the battery and tell me what readings you get through these three stages you mentioned.
As you ve mentioned in part......"the indicators work fine ".your problem lies elsewhere .
Try changing the reg/rectifier with a known working one....as that's a quick one to eliminate before getting into wiring tests.
One of which will be the resistance test on the stator windings as per book.

Bike is a daily ride.

The problem started about a month ago.  Too lazy to attempt a fix it then and there.

With the ignition on and no engine running the indicators work fine.

with the engine idling the indicators work fine.

Over 2000rpm the indicator (whichever side)  stops flashing, stays on and goes dull. the harder I rev the duller it becomes.

when the engine goes back below 2000rpm the indicators work fine.

Initial thought was a bad earth?????

I tried a flasher can fron two other working indicators and the same thing happened.

Hi folks.

The Bike:  an RH

The problem: Indicators work when the engine is not running.

When I flash the engine up the indicators stop flashing and go dull.  once the revs drop to idle the indicators work :o

I have cleaned the earth connection from battery to frame.
I have cleaned the earth connector from frame to engine.
I have cleaned the contacts for the indicators.
I have swapped flahercans from a working bike.

Any ideas?????????????????
