spent a couple more hours in the workshop and got the project a little further advanced.
got the adaptor on to the hub and machined the disc side spoke angle 15deg.  adaptor to hub is a light interference fit, but will be scotch keyed for extra security

yeah Steptoe, there is but they would probly charge an arm and a leg, doubt if they could beat the 18 and 19 inch rims I saw on ebay last night for $260 would've bought on the spot but the description didnt give the widths and sale ended before i could get a reply to the q i asked. they were BIN so might get relisted

umm maybe I spoke (no pun intended) too soon, literally, in the cool light of day the chrome ain't as good as I thought, 50/50 chance the rims are still serviceable, but for a project, aesthetically they don't pass scrutiny.

hmm, could be just what i need for a hubless trike,
or....rims for my wire wheel project, I've had these for about 20 years, sitting in a pile of useless handy junk under an old gum tree up the paddock, cleared away all the leaf litter and lo and behold 19" front rim and 18" rear, I think they were off an old GS 750 suzuki wrecker i had, that some ol mate wanted the hubs out of. Chrome is exceptionally good considering 20 years out in the elements and should polish up quite nicely. another piece of the jig saw comes together. I was originally going for new alloy rims but hadnt found exactly what I was looking for, and now these have presented themselves and cost me zilch.
