Another piece of the jigsaw comes together, found a period XS 650 rear rim for less than 1/2 the price of the ebay one above.
Front rim sourced by Eddy at a swap meet (thanks mate) both require hydro blasting and polishing. front hub(s) got 2 now, one from Eddy's swap meet find and a NOS one from Ebay. Rear hub still a work in progress, if I can manage to string a few days in a row at home I'll be off to the local machine shop to get some machining done.

If you have a chrome shop available, you can sandblast the old chrome off your old GS rims. Use aluminum oxide media (which will leave a blue looking jet trail when chrome is still present) and you can avoid the heavy expense of them trying to remove it. Some shops won't do it at all. Just my 2 cents worth.

That's not the right one?
Is it a price $445.00.... condition or model reason why it may not be the right one?

Turns out my new lathe is just a tad too small to complete one step in the machining process  :(  so, after one of the members helped me put together some smick CAD drawings,(thanks Bryan) regretably i have to get some outside help from a local machine shop to do that one step. Will post some pics of it after farmed out work is done and attach cad drawings with all dimensions if anyone wants to do there own,
Still looking for a xs650 back rim if anyone has or knows of one
