Think I understand now thanks, managed to get hold of the lady that could help and we agree that this may be my best bet
M10503540 50 35 40 M10 139.5 6 21.5 6
So that would be 50mm diameter and space it in 35mm, that will give me shear resistance of 21.5kg Just going to double check that size will fit. Total cost for the pair will be $60

just to add to Jeff's post, the triangle doobery looks like this and the captured bolty bit goes in the large rubbery hole in the alloy thing and the 2 other holes in the doober go to the muffler bracket

Thanks Jeff, so the exhaust bolts to the inside with the triangle doobery?

Thanks Jonesy, very close. It seems the M8 only has a shear resistance of 3-7.4kg I would feel safer with around the 25kg as I have seen on others that have M10. I am waiting on a call back from them because it is the first Aussie based company I have seen that supply this stuff. Fingers crossed they will have something for me.

Brett...the large hole you see...... in front of the pillion footrest mount hole..... on the footpeg hanging bracket...is where the original exhaust mufflers mount ......via a triangular shape bracket from a bolt with a rubber grommet in said hole.

Thanks Errol, I have not been able to work out how the original mount goes yet. One advantage I see with my current direction is the mufflers will tuck much closer to the bike with the rubber spacers.

Can't say I've seen anything like what you're describing, mate.
Mind you, while you're in the fabrication mode, you can't trim a bit off the mufflers where they meet the collector box so as to be able to use the original XS muffler mounting holes? It'd only take about an inch.

Haha, not your first thought.
I am looking to put rubber mounts for the exhaust were they mount the same spot as pillion passenger foot rests. Most I find are a male male setup as pictured so If I was to keep the pillion footrest it would need to be of the female type. Are these even available?
