Thanks Bryan I will keep an eye open for a pair of them, Yes the Acwell speedo has helped me find my way around the wiring. Would you believe the last one craped out yet again. Bet you won't believe I am going to let them send me one more to try. This will be number 4 FFS.

Thanks Pete. I think I did a poor job of mixing the second batch of araldite as it didn't dry properly. I did glue again but in the mean time I pinched the plastic grip of the kids cheap import pit bike (thumpster). The XS now has the plastic grip and the clutch handle of said thumpster and both are going great  :-X

you could try mikes xs
heres a link
http://www.mikesxs.net/

or if the araldite doesn't work ive had
good success with bi carb and superglue,
run a bead of superglue and sprinkle some bicarb over the top
repeat until u get the desired affect, it holds strong, dries instantly
and can be sanded, just don't go breathing any fumes.

I went for XJ1200 switch blocks originally as they were fresher than the venerable XS11's second hand
BUT....
connections are different requiring some re-wiring - you must be good for that now with the Acewell experience Bretto - yeh?

Well, I was trying to drill the end out of it and had it "lightly" clamped in the vice. All of a sudden something went pop and the other end snapped off. I glued with Araldite but will have to wait till the morning to see if it will hold.
Since the old switches are looking very tired I was planning on spucing up with a new set. Haven't found much to choose from on eBay, it might be best to get another from the wreckers?

Hey Brett how bad did you "snap" it? beyond repair?
I recently put a bar end on mine and just hacksawed the end of the plastic grip off to get the bar end in
You should be able to just get the plastic unless of course you want to replace the switch block

Today while trying to fit the bar end mirrors I snapped the plastic under grip of the accelerator. This has prompted me to get a new accelerator assembly which would include the headlights and starter switch. Any ideas?
