LOL Scotty, thanks Hen.
I keep forgetting to point out a mistake I made. The cut on the collector to adjust the angle of the mufflers should have been further back on the weld.(Mad Bill wasn't that silly) This would make it an easier weld and also stronger. One simple fix for this is to cut it all the way off at the weld and just weld two new 2" pipes back on. That will be a one day job  ::)

Maybe I sound a bit harsh in the last post. From 0-100 through the gears is bloody great. Yet in a roll on in top gear from 60kmh there is a little lag before it gets going. Probably good for old dusty but Bryan would leave me in his dust of course. Will be interesting to see were this exhaust goes with some work?

Haha Eddie, the Misses is getting a bit jealous she reckons something new is turning up for the bike every week. The fact is there is ALOT of work to do and if I new what I was doing and had lots of money I would just do it all in one go  :P

Thanks Jeff, I have had heaps of advice here so hopefully my documentation helps some one else out. I have never taken the back wheel off so I have no idea but the two rear mufflers come of with just two bolts each so shouldn't be too much trouble.

Christian sent both sets of headers and collectors I believe with the idea that I could modify the other for some one else. I am happy to do this if any one is interested. Cost would be minimal, when Christian gives me details to pay him for collector and headers, my total cost is $195 

It was said that these will add extra 15 hp, I have had a bit of a tune up today and taken for a good hack. It seems a little slow of the mark but old dutsy may not be the best test. I will get a fully rebuilt set of carbies new leads n coil then dyno tune for the best jets before I can conclude anything?

Oil filter slip out 2 & 3.. Put the spin on adapter and half your oil changes

Great work Brett...........well documented as well....I also like the way you took a good idea and made it better .
What is the scenario with this system  for :
 1) Rear wheel removal
2) Oil filter replacement

It is very quite and smooth. Rather large but I like it, some how it is starting to remind me of something you see in a matchbox model  8)
Seems to have a slight lag down low but I am sure it needs a new tune now so can't call it yet. Seems to be very smooth otherwise, I love it.

Once I stopped thinking and drinking coffee (some times that goes on till lunch time  ::)) I can actually get something done.Posting gives me something to do winding down with a beer after. Early start today  :P
I forgot to mention about the oil cooler. You could find a way to keep it but it was just one less thing to worry about so yep off it came. I also forgot to mention I found the centre stand mounts got in the way so I cut them off as well.

The mount on the collector box is no longer used so that came off too.

Collector box fully welded

I did J2's idea and got the oil plug drilled n threaded to take the temp gauge. The machinist was a little worried it left the plug wall a bit thin but so far so good I have an engine temp gauge, just need a speedo that keeps working to use it  >:(

As the mufflers mount onto were the rear foot mounts go I found it easier to remover the lock nut so I could do the nut up instead of trying to turn the foot peg.

Comparison of the modified collector box. Any bets on how long the spray can acrylic pain will last?
