If you surf ebay regularly you have a very good chance of getting excellent condition guards(fenders for the yank converted amongst us) as with all stuff from the states it is still much cheaper to buy from there pay for postage and still be cheaper than getting it here.

I picked up a NOS front guard for $60  + $30 postage..... Bargain

I don,t know about your success rate with a new condition guard,,

would it be easier if not quicker to chrome the guard you have maybe, with a well placed tap with the right size peen hammer and block  ::)

Eddy dropped me off this rear guard that was a little worse for wear so I could have a go at shorting it. I was aiming for re-chrome quality but had to settle for what I will call re-paint quality. It will just need a little putty to smooth and blend before paint. I took about 120mm out.
I almost got stuck into the front guard but I am starting to think I would prefer the full chrome version of this. Mine is in ok nick but has a slight dent. How much will it cost for a very good quality front guard?
