"YAMAHA XS1100RH 1981 - Registered with Safety Cert
If you're looking for a XS1100 then you probably know all the great things about them, and this bike does all those things. Totally reliable, great cruiser, heavy in the corners, unkillable.
This has been one of my favourite bikes. I've used it as a daily ride, taken it on weekend road trips, and it has never let me down.
Recent service (about 1000ks ago) included oil, filters, spark plugs, and fork oil. Previous owner had a really nice professional paint job done, which is still looking fantastic.
The Safety Cert was done just over a week ago, and the Registration is valid for another 5 months. There is nothing to do, and I am reluctant to let this XS go, but I have just started a XS1100 Sidecar project so I have no choice but to free up space.
You are bidding on a great old bike in really good condition, but obviously it is 32 years old. It has small markings on the upper forks, small marks on the tank, imperfections on the engine paint, etc etc..., but nothing you wouldn't expect in a bike of this age. It is far from perfect, but still a great example.
I doubt you will find a nicer XS at this kind of reasonable price at the moment. Most are 'nearly complete', unregistered, projects, or just tired.
Bike is available for inspection, and I welcome all questions and requests for viewing. The pictures do give a good indication of condition. Zoom in on them and have a good look.
