Thanks John, Yep as much as I hate it my toys are towards the bottom of the budget. Before the trip to Bourke I also bought a classic boat from the same era. Few things on the want list for that too  ::)

Just got of the phone to John and have several options. A straight recover would be $100 so I could refoam myself and get him to cover but then the transport cost can be anywhere from $40-$90.
Another option is using a pattern that I make for him after I refoam the seat he can produce from that. This would be $80 add extra $50 for leather  8)
The top quality foam that I intend to use will be about $80 as well. Haven't sourced the glue yet?

Haha G'day Tim

That was quick Bryan,  :D
I do like that seat. I wonder if I can be a cheap ass and get him to just make me the cover and I still re-foam and fit?
Hmmm, leather :)

Hey Paul, hard to not like the new tank and seat  8)

I have some of that crossed of the list Jonesy. Well they should be in the mail anyway. I forked out a total of $15.38 for a new set of indicators. I think they are small enough that you won't be able to see how cheap they are  :-X

And $12.89 for a couple of end bar mirrors. Maybe the seller made a mistake with these as they are now listed for over $60

Not sure how the end bar mirror works with the excelorator grip ??

The seat will need recovering. I have been looking into doing this myself. I reckon I can re-foam the seat but without an industrial sewing machine I think this will be a great value solution.

Oh and Bryan has a handle bar for me  :D

Hey Brett
just at a glance, and  maybe on your list already, smaller tail light, lower handle bars and  a bar end mirror stand out as tidy up items

Hi Brett

I have to agree with Jonesy, the bike's looking heaps better already and I'm pleased the repair job from Bourke is still holding up ok.

Cheers

OOPs sorry Jonesy,

This was spur of the moment visit with only an hour spent at Bretts,  6 hours up to Parkes,

then back to Orange to pick up my Jack Russell, 1/2 an hour there and 5 hours home.

Next time I come up we'll hook up.

Just got an update for the XJR exhaust
Hello Brett,
We can supply the following parts:-
·         Headers & collector - $450

·         Mufflers - $100 - $200 depending on condition and requirements.

That sounds pretty good to me!
