Well now.....
any of you blokes have these "tight plugs" fitted?
They would have the effect of keeping the cam bearings under pressure - sounds good
can't see how they would affect wear on the lobes tho -

Aint no plugs In there ol mate,
unless he's thinking the half moon seals are plugs that hold oil in for the cams to run in an oil bath?

The wording in tighes reply was very " Ï ain't doing anything to help, not my fault, its all about you"

What did you decide to do with your XS 1100 camshafts?
I do not recall you contacting us.
The only thing that I would make sure you do ,
Is that when you repair the camshafts,
make sure you put the oil Gallery plugs back in the ends of the camshafts this time.
Generally our camshafts do well over 20,000 Km, with no issues at all in road bike.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't know about you but they should last every bit as long as the OEM cam not a mere 20,000km's.

Bryan, its not even my problem but I feel like giving him a prostate examination with the dead cams

woo hoo,  I'd be flipping those cams straight back at 'em and demanding answers and bundles of cash hehe,  there's a page of cam specs 78 & 80 cams,  shows the lift at 0.50 and heaps of other stuff, on this site and uk site, posted ages ago,  assume still sitting somewhere.  78 cams you throw in as normal,  dots lined up on cams,  all good

Bryan.............how many kms have you had those in for?
Have you contacted Tighe Engineering and shown them pics and kms travelled........they may come to the party with some help of sorts ........if their product failed before it was due.
