Seriously I didn't think there was such a place.

I'm confident Michelle as usual will do us proud and could turn a country s__house into a superb venue.

Wish I could do more to assit

Nymboida does look good Mrs Steptoe

Got thhis today with the Ulysses clib

Motorcycle Friendly Towns
Last week some of the NatCom members attended the inauguration of the first motorcycle friendly town in mainland Australia; Texas in SW Queensland in the Goondiwindi Shire. This initiative was launched as the catalyst to encourage other towns and cities to join in offering dedicated motorcycle parking, a range of fuels to suit all makes and models of motorcycles as well as encouraging the shopkeepers and traders to offer special deals and a friendly welcome to those of us on two wheels. There were about 150 motorcyclists attending along with the local townspeople turning out for a civic welcome and sausage sizzle to hear some words from the local mayor State politicians and a Goondiwindi Shire Councillor.
From the National Committee's point of view we hope this initiative gathers momentum in all states.

I was sure you guys and gal were pulling my chain. You mean there is such a place as NYMBODIA.
Sound like the drug capital of NSW, a cross between Nymban and sow othe dope head paradise. Or is it a scene from Harry Potter.
I may be overseas next year at that time but if not it sounds ok to me.

So after much deliberation and investigation we have three options for you to vote on for the destination of next years rally.
Listed in no particular order with details of relevance - I typed this slowly so you could read it easier.... :D

Option 1 - Kidmans Camp - Bourke - middle of nowhere NSW
http://www.kidmanscamp.com.au/

venue for the last two years - read previous posts for details or email me for specifics. Beautiful spot, very relaxing, surrounded by psychopathic emus.  Catering seemed successful this year so we would duplicate this for next year.

Option 2- Walcha Caravan park - Walcha NSW -
http://www.walchacaravanpark.com.au/

Really nice spot - cabin accommodation as well as camping facilities, small camp kitchen as well as bbq area facilities.  If this is the choice then catering will be the same as in Bourke - we would need to do it ourselves. Costs are very similar for cabin accommodation but probably not as roomy as those in Bourke.

there is a classic bike thing (yes I do care  ;D) in Gloucester the same week-end - about 100 odd kl  from Walcha that could be interesting and a nice Saturday ride.

Option 3 - Nymboida Coaching Station - Central coast NSW
http://www.coachingstation.com/

an amazingly beautiful spot - yes I am slightly biased - motel style accommodation with rooms that can cater for up to 5 people, doubles, triples, quads or singles-whatever tickles your fancy. The cost of these rooms are slightly less than the cabins in both Bourke and Walcha.  The room cost also includes a continental breakfast.  As this complex is attached to a pub they are also able to provide catering for dinner and lunches if requested - no cooking required. Dinner prices vary between $10 and $30 and they are able to do a buffet style dinner on Saturday night for $25/head. There is no camping facilities available here but there is a camp site about 5k up the road.

At this point there are no other bookings for Nymboida for this week-end so we could have the place to ourselves.

as you can see I have included links to the accommodation sites for you to check out - a poll will be posted over the next few days for you to cast your vote - you can only vote once - and if you don't vote don't complain about the final destination!  :P
