The constant reference to bends somewhat alarms me given that most accidents occur on same

amongst other things at the rally,, the subject was brought up wether to change the destination or leave it as bourke,,

It was left that what ever place was chosen it would have to surpass bourke by heads and shoulders,,

sooooo,, on the way home we took a 1200klm detour and checked out a couple of places closer to the coast in a straight line from bourke, trying to keep centre for the majority,,

Bendemeer was first off the rank, being the place first put forward in the very beginning,, nothing there,, there did use to be a big park but has since gone,,

so we continued into the hills, still in an easterly aspect,, we came across a neat park in walcha here,s a link

                                         http://www.walchacaravanpark.com.au/,,

it,s a lot smaller in area covered than bourke, nestled pretty much in town,,we asked if the comings and goings of many motorcycles over the w/end would be a problem for the close proximity locals,, we were assured there,ll be no problems with that,, it also has a almost as large timber kitchen as bourke, a gas bbq inside and a timber bbq outside, with enough seating

there are plans for another set of rooms in council now with parking for bikes underneath,
on the same w/end as our rally, Gloucster, 90 odd klm down the road has a large bike show also

              http://v-twins.com.au/news-events-media/events/gloucester-motorcycle-expo-4th-5th-may/

there,s an opportunity to use this as a day filler ride, or a pre-arranged show of force by our old girls,,

catering would still have to be done as bourke

the other place we found was Nymboida a small place 30klm south of Grafton,, most likely to far off centre,, but an almost  perfect place to park ourselves,,
it,s an old original coach staging station, complete with stables turned into a musuem

with a very friendly pussy cat

looking over a river off the back of the beer garden

the place is used for weddings so is already set up for catered gatherings, with rooms, food hall, pub, catered, and some serious corners not far away,,

all that said, these are only level with bourke, not way and above better,,

these are 2 other options close to centre to opt for

check the links, have a think

a poll will be set up for choice of venue, shortly, most votes untill end July wins

there are a couple of pubs etc that have been upgraded that would cope with that number of people as Walcha is becoming a hub for bike riders 8)

homework has been completed,, just not handed in yet,,, give us a couple of days to correlate all info gathered,,

yes they are happy to have us, the park is different but will work,,,

also by sheer chance we stumbled on a real rip snorter,, it,s a touch south of Grafton though,, maybe to far off centre  though,,

give us a bit of time,,

Just sent off an enquiry to a park in Walcha NSW as to there willingness to accommodate 25-30 motorcycle enthusiasts. looked a bit up market but only early days........real bloody early :)

Comments: Hi I'm enquiring on behalf of a vintage motorcycle club as to your willingness to accommodate around 25-30 individuals for 3 nights in a mix of cabins and unpowered tent sites.
