Looks like Grafton is the nearest place (only 50k's) if you want to do cabins and camp kitchen type set up.

I road through Nymboida last September on my K1100LT as we passed the Pub/Museum there was a group of guy's from the VJMC (Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club) about 17 riders taking pics lined up outside the entrance, when we got into Grafton the guys pulled into the same servo we were at and conversation happening and they had nothing but good comments about there weekend there, not that it matters but I recall something about Russell Crow owning it.
For me to get to Nymboida is about 950Ks or so, I stayed at a beautiful pub in Urunga and road over the waterfall way via Dorrigo to Nymboida absolutely beautiful.

I'll just go with the flow.

Nymboida looks great to me.
I am sure there are MANY great places you could go, the only downside is nothing can be as central as Bourke.

what do the crow eaters from SA reckon?
It seems to me the only answer if not central is that it should be north one year and south the next.
So next year maybe some where like Albury. Then maybe back to Bourke at some stage?

I hear ya Mrs
Anywhere in that region is fine by me. can the pub accommodate the numbers we'd be looking at and in the style we're accustom to?

To answer your question Jonesy and I can only speak for myself.  I'll go anywhere in OZ to attend our rally, I had a great time and will always make an effort to get there where ever it may be.

Cheers
