A quick simple fix to maybe un jam you needle seat issue,,  a small piece of  wood and a light  ball peen hammer to the  side  of the carbs with fuel running might sort something for  you,, if it ,s doing it when the engines not running, you may well have a torn diaphragm in the octopus fuel  line tangle,  if it, s still fitted , as well as the  needle and seats

My bike is in reasonable condition. It's not running at the moment as it appears the needles in the carburettors are stuck open and fuel pours through into and then out of the air filter box.

Once running I am hoping it will then just need a coat of paint to get it to its previous state of glory.

On a side issue I did notice a bloke in Perth, suburb of Gosnells that is not too far from me selling a XS1100 (not RH) on Gumtree.

If anyone is interested I can go round and take some pics.

What condition is your bike in. Is it a runner.  Very easy to work on and because they aren't as popular as many of the other 70-80's era bikes there are generally heaps of seconf hand and some new parts available.

BTW hope you can make it to the rally one year its a great event

Hi Benno. Sorry, mate. I seemed to have missed this thread and haven't said gidday yet, though I have seen a couple of other posts of yours, so GIDDAY mate, and welcome.
Regarding your call for local assistance with your bike, their isn't anyone currently posting here, from over there, but we did have a member, "Polly", who had an RH which he unfortunately had to sell some time ago. It's been a while now, but maybe you could try PMing him or trying a phone call on the details he put up in this thread - CLICK BTW, his name's Mike.

He did a great job doing his RH up, and he may be helpful with info and tips for yours.
Just an idea.
We'll keep trying to assist you from over here, but there's nothing like having the bike in front of you in the flesh.

Hi all, I am Ian from Perth.
I have just bought a XS1100RH from Victoria, which is unlicensed and needs work.
I welcome any comments/help/conversation from other members, especially Perth ones.
