Thanks Bryan, I was going to use John Moorhouse by just sending a template up for him to cut and sew but I have been put onto a guy in Orange that I have also heard good things about and he will be able to fit to my seat so fingers crossed all goes well.
Oh and the bar turned up yesterday. Thanks a bunch, much appreciated  ;D

Must have missed that reply Errol, Thanks.
I am kinda heading in that direction. I am redoing the foam myself and then getting a custom cover made. About the $80 or an extra $40 for leather. Picking up the foam glue in Orange very soon.

Brett, any half decent upholstery shop should be able to do you a cover for your seat. That is, unless your planning to get it reshaped etc.

I got mine done back in 2003? by a local lot in Nudgee Brisbane which cost me $80 plus it was a drop off in the AM, pick up in the PM job which meant I was only without the seat for one day. It's done ok except for a front edge that got torn by an unwitting bike shop trying to force the seat right up to the back of my big tank when I had that fitted.

Ask around mate. You could be very pleasantly surprised by the savings.

I got a quote of $260 from ACM to repair my seat. I would also have to add interstate postage to that.
Think i will have to find some one local ?
Looked into tight fit, a complete seat seems to be about $200 I have contacted them to see if they have any for the xs1100. Not sure how a cover would go on mine?
My seat seems different to the norm and I kinda like it so I would like to get this one repaired.
