Again, saw this whilst looking at misc things on ebay. 2K or make offer.....


For reluctant sale, 1980 Yamaha XS 1100 with blue slip for NSW rego.

The usual story, purchased 18 months ago as a project bike with a view to using it as a touring bike and turning it into a Period 5 Post racebike to compete in NSW Post-Classic series.

Got as far as getting a blue slip, now personal circumstances require me to reluctantly sell. (wife doesn't understand the need for multiple motorbikes...)

The bike is in overall good condition for its age. Was not registered for several years prior to me acquiring it in 2011, has been well maintained but shows signs of having been garaged for so long. Engine runs well, and as strong as the day it came off the line, as these things tend to do. Paint is ordinary quality, matte black. Petrol tank is in good nick, though has a small crease in one side that's barely noticeable. Unsure of the kms, speedo says 6,000 so presumably that's 106,000. Eligible for club rego in NSW. Comes with panniers and rear backrest authentic from the era.

I apologise for the poor quality photos. The bike is currently at the mechanic's getting the blue slip and will be available for inspection in Sydney CBD after 3/03/13. Better pictures will also be added then.
