Hey Errol
based on your recommendation I've just ordered all 4 gaskets (fuel taps, fuel guage sender and lid) required to get the 24 litre challenge tank fuel tight for the wellington run. I started looking on ebay but "speed and sport" had them all at the one source, instead of a bit here bit there on the bay and multiple postage fees.

Just had another very good experience dealing with this company (Cindy in particular)
Had been searching for the outer seal on the rear wheel hub, on the brake disc side, Part # 93104-27026-00, as mine got a bit deformed when changing the bearing last time round

Seems they can only be had from overseas and prices ranged from around 10.50 US with outrageous shipping charges of up to US$38 per seal, up to around US$25 with approx US$15 shipping, So I sent an email to this company requesting a shipping quote and was very pleasantly surprised by what was sent back to me.

Not only was I given a discount on the unit price, but the postage rate was very agreeable.

I did order 3, as I'm pretty sure Steptoe is after one as well, plus one more as a spare, but I'm sure I'll get around to using them up, one way or the other.
Not a bad price at all. I'll be using this supplier again, for sure.

Hi Errol

that's good news, always helps to find a good supplier.  I have saved the shortcut to a documents folder I have made of various suppliers from all over the place.  I have recently ordered and have received 2 indicator bodies and 4 lenses for my 78 model as a result of checking out web sites provided by this forum, very very helpful.

Cheers

Just finished ordering my new primary chain for the old girl. Yamaha don't have any worldwide apparently,
so I got put on to this place - SPEED & SPORT INC. in the USA.

 ^ Here's my initial receipt..................

Then this came via email

"Hi Errol,
The chain is in stock priced at $255.20 with our discount.  Shipping
by Priority mail is $45.00 with a grand total of $300.20.  If you are
interested, please refer to quote #140304 to get the prices quoted.

Regards,Cindy

^ Got a very pleasant surprise when I received this quote from their sales manager about the postage costs.
That's not a bad discount for an otherwise unobtainable part!
