Hi Folks Has anyoe else experienced this.

The problem:
Friday I went to ride to work on the RH.  Got 2minutes down the road and the RH fround to a stop.

No Power.  Chesked the main fuse to the engine ....Blown.

Changed the fuse, turned the key. pushed the button and blown again.

The indicators were working....but not quite like they normally did.

Disconnected the flasher can and the bike ran fine.

The history;

The bike sat outside all week.  i usually put a bike cover over her but this time couldn't be arsed, so in the elements she stayed.

We had a bit of rain in sydney during that week.

The Fix

Opened up the indicators and they had had some moisture ingress.
Sprayed them with CRC 56 water dispersant.

Cleaned the electrical terminators on the indicators.

The indicators then began to behave themselves properly.

No main fuse blown anymore,

So I guess in this  weather our old bikes may be susceptible to electrical problems in the rain.

Has anybody else expeienced this?

Regards

Eddy.
