One thing that many do not realize is that he also will provide cheaper rubber line replacements for those who wish to remain stock. There is also a myriad of other parts such as brake pads, rotors, caliper pistons, rebuild kit and so much more. Worth a read rather than a quick glance.
78E, 79SF currently running and road ready.
1 more in the wings patiently waiting with a big bore kit already installed.

OK....better stop there cause I went and bought new ones...it has been leaking for a while so I suspect they are a bit soaked. My wife said no to heating them in the oven anyway!!!  :'(

It, s as easy as slipping down to your local auto part store and getting a can of "brake clean",,,,,,,,,,,, it is designed to do exactly what you want to do,,, read the destructions and you, 'll be as good as new

hey jeff,
that stuff works ok if u get to the oil/fluid straight away,
but if any oil/fluid has soaked into the pad the brake clean wont work efficiently
as the pads get hot the oil/fluid comes to the surface of the pad.
much easier to buy a set of pads, but each to there own.

for what its worth to replace pads
your better off replacing them,
some try and clean them up but once the heat
gets into the pad itll draw the oil out.

Mate, they'll never be as good as new ones, so I'd order a new set.
In the interim, you can give them a good scrub in solvent to try to get the thickest off the pad surface then give them a really good scuff up on some rough concrete to expose some uncontaminated pad material.

I have a leaking fork seal and the oil has ended up all over the disc and brake pads. Will the pads be OK ...can they be cleaned up or should they be replaced? I also need new brake lines for my 81 std model....any one have a good contact for new lines?
Cheers ...Alice
