Blackie, is it only an illusion or have you raked the front end a wee tad?

Fred, no it is standard, the top picture shows it better as side on, the fork springs were replaced..

So has anyone picked out the 4 non standard parts, other than the paint work, hint, need this to warn the morons to get out of your way, you need this to stop, you need to see the morons coming and what protects better than these in case you need to rest it down.. if you can see it in the photo's

Cheers

Paul

Good to hear the oil change got your clutch issue sorted.
Very nice pics, mate. Is that the spot where all the hang glider mob do their thing off the clifftops?
And, VERY nice looking bike!

Nice looking bike and very nice country around there.  I have a mate who lives at Mt Tambourine and he rides a 6cyl Valkyrie, he loves it up there.

Cheers Paul

I put Caltex Activ in only to find out under high rev's (3rd gear) it's now slipping, guy from the shop said it would do the job..

Sounds like it's doing the job too well, since your clutch has started slipping since changing over to the oil he recommended. Just stick with plain old dino oil, mate. It's the best stuff for these old girls.

Everready1100 great advise, and changed oil as you can see from my last post, took the warhorse out today and no slipping and sounds better

Thanks mate..

Cheers

Paul

G'day guy's,

Thank you for the welcome  ;D

My pride and joy, is also the e mdoel 1978, found it in the wreckers, they were just about to pull it apart, when the mate elbowed me saying quitely he had a frame and front end, I could have,  (bike was damaged T boned), so that started my XS experience..

Canungra and back, but which way, try and mix it up, specially the back road from Canungra to Mount Tamberine, (no second gear), so Eveready1100, same here just punch through the bends, without going up and down the gears, this is why I like going over the Mountian top. Thank you for the advise on the gear box, will look into it.

Always up for a ride Steptoe and Tim and any others, how many more XS1100 owners are there in the South East Queensland? Need to change the engine oil, as I put Caltex Activ in only to find out under high rev's (3rd gear) it's now slipping, guy from the shop said it would do the job..

Thanks guy's, invitation is always there..

Cheers
