XS1100 E/F/G/H OEM pipes and parts - MOOROOKA, QLD

Well, the O.S. guys are all complaing how hard it is to get a system (any) to fit their Xs11's. I'd imagine there'd be a lot of interest, though the cost will be intimidating for those from the US, as they're used to really cheap bits over there.

I'm interested .......If it comes to fruiton I'm sure the pipes would attract interest from O.S. too.

I think like most repro parts, it comes down to cost. (well these days anyway). Not too many people will spend more on a remade exhaust than you could nearly buy another bike for!
BUT, lets see what they cost. Probably need to get an idea of a full system cost too, as like many, my old girl has 4 into Ones, and the headers wont be of use.
It is good though that there is at least interest, and with the internet humming around the world, genuine repro (sounds weird) would probably move well with XS owners.

I'm certainly interested, Mal was telling me about this idea last week, if this comes to fruition I'll be able to re-fit the bottom half of my fairing once again.

Mal and myself have been tossing around the idea of getting some jigs made up and pressings done to make ORIGINAL not replica pipes but it is a big outlay unless we have a few that would like to get some original systems made up.

So the question is how many would like to see their XS go the way it was designed and meant to go with a smooth, easy, efficient power band?

Big question how much are we willing to pay for our (except me) Indestructible time machines???

Just a thought,

This would be a golden opportunity to get a set of mufflers to a pipe fabricator to replicate a set from originals.  the mufflers have seen better days and are no longer functional but would provide the perfect template.

I'm no where near Morooka??? but am happy to pitch in to get these pipes to a pipe maker.

Any others keen?

From what Peter said in another thread about pod filters maybe my 4 into one will be better for me but I would like to get this set restored if not for me anyway.
Thinking after courier costs and new mufflers it might get up around the $300 - $400 ?
