You might also want to look at the other specs ....

2nd post is interesting about the emulsion tubes.

all the emulsion tubes were the same on my bike. 3 holes one side, 2 holes on the other.
On cleaning them and the rest of the carbs  I used 3 bond Engine Conditioner, its about $30.00 a can but it is the ducks nuts, far better than any of the throttle body cleaners, it foams up like Cabb Clean which is what the import shops use, I think it is actually the same stuff.

For the 81 rh set it at 23mm without
the gasket in place.

25.7mm float settings are for the earlier carbs.

It's documented on the UK site as:

Fuel level 3mm below the carb mixing chamber body edge or gasket.

I don't know if that helps or not?

I think the easiest way to set height to those levels is to mount the carbs in a vice and set them level using a spirit-level. Other people have drilled through a spare carb drain screw and attached a length of plastic tubing that can be held up against the side of the carb as a gauge.

yes that all helps, I was going to do the tube method yesterday but need to get the right size tube to fit the bowl overflow.  I'll get some tube in the next day or so and post the results.

can anyone advise the float height for the 81 1100RH please. I have them currently guessimated at 22mm. I think I am going to need new needle/seats anyway.
