Geoff, an easier way to shorten the pull length on the cable would of been to simply cut off the nipple at the clutch adjuster end..........and fit an "adjustable stop".



this is a pic of one style ..............the other style....(which i have used and can highly recommend )..has an allen key pinch screw on either side of the cable stop....... and sandwiches the cable as it passes through.
A touch of loctite on the screws for peace of mind...............you must select the right hole size for the cable.
I was a little bit dubious before using it...........but once fit correctly..........they will "not" move.......and don t weaken the cable where sandwiched.

The type i used was a stainless steel nipple with high tensile allen key pinch screws.

got any pics for us blokes that have sh%tty slow internet speed. 1min of you tube takes about 6mins to down load, so I havent got a spare 40 min to watch your clip 1 of the drawbacks of living out in the sticks no where near one of them fibre optic NBN cables

from the broken clutch cable re bourke rally,,

old mate in moree made the new inner a bit to long and I don,t have enough adjustment,,

a quick and easy fix for someone that hadn,t thought of it
