I dropped around to have a look see at his new toy last night. Wasn't as shiny as in the pics due to the latter half of his 450klm trip was in the rain, so was covered in road grime. It had been Steptoe'd on its first day at home (carb synch and colourtune) and it fired at the first stab of the button and idled very smoothly. Very quiet motor with no funny noises.
Looks nice and straight, though the seat base is shot, to he's looking at one of the UK ones to get it sorted.
New front brake lines are on the cards, as they visibly swell when the lever is given a good squeeze.
Overall, it's a very good bike for the price paid.

Went and had a look at this bike today, nice bloke, bike needs a bit of TLC, had a fair bit of work done, runs sweet, he said his reserve was $2500, not really interested in what he can get for it, just wants to see it go to a good home.
