I bought a complete brake set off an 03 R1 for $175. Whats the chance of getting some brackets.

When you talk about "Blue Spot Calipers"  What model bike are they off.

My FJR has blue spots surely they don't mount the same as an R1 or an R6

I sent you a PM Eddy  :)

Organisation is not my strong point Paul but that is possible. Think I would need the pack rack from Parkes to carry the gear so will have to be one or the other  :-\

Hey Brett's,

If you're interested I have a gear sack rack surplus to requirements.  I will be going through Bathurst on Thursday encounters to Orange.

Hey Brett

If you have room in your kit, take all the bits with you and do the changeover as a class project at Bourke, I'm sure there will be plenty of advice available.  If for some reason it doesn't work, swap back and ride home in standard setup and work on the problem at your leisure.

Cheers

Hi Errol, I got a M/C with my calipers. Need to check a few things but I believe I have all I need for the swap. I will have a play with it soon but first I need to take the imprint of another kangaroo out of the front of the little buzz box. The family car is heading back to the panel shop for re-re-repairs so we will need something else to drive while that happens.
Also need to make up a pack rack for the XS so maybe I won't get the time for the brake swap but we will see  ;)

Hi Brett, as PGNZ indicated, the master cylinder should be swapped over to match the calipers, if you still have the original 11/16th size one fitted. Not doing so could result in high lever pressure to actuate the brakes, so just have a check on that before diving in.

And Brian, no. This setup will not fit your RH. They've got much different caliper mounting bolt spacing so different adapters will be needed.

My set turned up today. The quality and finish looks Great.

I have no idea about wether they fit the Special Melbs. I thought Mal mentioned something about that in an email but not sure?
I might have a go at fitting mine tomorrow.
