Has anyone thought about or suggested name tags for everyone attending the rally???

Very few of us post a picture of ourselves on this site and with the numbers of attendees around 40 or 50 I know I'm going to be flat out remembering everyone's name, I'm not getting any younger and the memory is not what it used to be.  :-[  :D

That sounds like a great book, I just googled it and read an excerpt about why the XS11 is the best bike ever made, he makes a very compelling argument and I'm even happier now that I own one.

Cheers

since no one else has made any comment
the books yours paul,
ill give it to Christian before the rally
and he can give u the book directly,
I think a few on here have the book anyway.

To all those of us making the pilgrimige to Bourke in May :

We have arranged the following itinerary and details for you :  Friday 3rd May - Welcome dinner and ride debrief  - i know i will need that bit!
Saturday 4th May - Wake up to Saturday morning brekky and prepare for a road trip to Louth - about 100klm south west of Bourke - a great way to have a group ride with some awesome photo ops. Lunch and a drink at shindy's Inn and then we return to kidmans for a debrief over nibblies and drinks and afternoon entertainment arranged by Eveready  8)
Saturday night is set to be a not to miss event with dinner being catered by the locals who offer a campfire dinner and bush poetry - $25 a head with proceeds being donated to local charities.  After dinner the formalities of the week-end will occur with presentations and awards being handed out.
Sunday 5th May - Brekky followed by an opportunity to share more tall stories and bid farewell to those of you who need to return home. Lunch - followed by a 3pm cruise on the Darling river aboard the PV Jandra. This modern paddle vessel is operated by Bourke Shire Council and part of the new tourist experience at the Back O' Bourke. This modern boat was built by Russell Mansell and his family and commissioned in 2000. Sunday evening dinner and a chat around the campfire to prepare for the long ride home Monday.
Monday 6th May - brekky and off...........................................

So now for the boring bits: :-[

We have to give the campfire dinner people definite numbers by Wed 24th April - and you will need to pay them directly on Saturday night.

Similairly we need to advise the paddleboat people numbers so that we dont miss out.

Lastly we need numbers for catering purposes for breakfasts, lunch and dinner sunday and nibblies saturday afternoon.  Many of you have confirmed your participation in catering and made a deposit - thank you -  at a minimum please let us know via the rally email address if you want to be included in numbers for the above by Wednesday 25th April - unfortunately any decisions after this date you will need to pack your baked beans.

If you have any questions re any of the above please direct via the rally email address

 :D

yes Jonesy,,your right mate,,

the biggest hicc-up is how do we cater,, do we buy for 50 and 20 show up,,,, what to do with the rest

on the other hand as Ev said, cater for 20 and have 50 turn up after the shops have shut and are left standing red faced and unorganised
