Any ideas where I can get a replacement shift lever return spring?

hi edgy,
have u taken the side cover off to see if it is actually broken?
if u lean the bike against a wall or something similar u can remove the cover
without draining the oil and its only a 5 minute job to remove.
while u have the cover off theres a cpl of adjustments/checks that can be done
that if out of alignment could cause similar problems to what u have.   jat

Hi Everyone,

I've started having some problems shifting between gears...and just when the weather's warming up too!  First into second and then up to third works fine, but when I try to go back down I have problems getting into first and neutral.  After a quick look by the mechanic and reading the article on XS11.com (link below) we're pretty sure it's a broken shift lever return spring.

Does anyone know where I can get my hands on one - new or used?  Or even a part number would be great?

I've done a quick check on the 'net without much luck but did see a few possible matches in the US.  Trying to source locally if possible to save time.
