It's a XS1100RH. Engine/frame number should start with 5N5.

Quite original, but messy. Tank has been replaced with a standard tank (usually for the extra capacity).  Original pipes by looks of it. Shame they've been bashed at the end.

Front fairing has gone, but that bracket would maybe help me out  :D

Thanks for the pic.

yep 5n5-000268 both frame and engine, vin plate says it is it is a 1100R. Only the left muffler is like that, I have the fairing too, removed it to open up the headlight. Messy, if you think this is messy you have never really seen a messy bike then. This is a walk in the park compared to most bikes I have worked on.... chris

Where are you?

Can we have a picture?

How much?  :D

Hi, I am in Brisbane, I'd be wanting $2200 for it as is. It has the original Yamaha fairing to.
Quick question, there is a lock just below the battery on the left side, what does that do?, and on batteries, I have just fitted a brand new one too. I'll go and take a pic now, being night it won't be the best but you will get the idea..... chris

g'day guys, and gals if we have any:-)
I recently bought a 1100R 2/81 build from a mate, he and I rode to Berry a few years back for a vjmc rally and he rode that, since then it has been sitting, now there is no spark, I found a second hand cdi on ebay in the US and got it over, still no spark, box is exactly the same as the one that I took off, all markings exact so have to presume it is correct.

Ok two things, where can I got the correct wire diagram, and are there any members in Brisbane that would be willing to bring over their known good cdi box so I could try it.

BTW I will be selling this bike if anyone here might be interested,  I know it to be good apart from the current  no spark issue and two float valves are sticking,  and it is pretty original as far as i am aware.

cheers.chris
