Good point about pods....but the side covers are going back on so not a drama......Yes I agree black is the theme and a bit rough looking with new chrome and polished alloy.....I will be keeping this one as I have fallen in love....cant choose the things you fall in love with....you just do....But I will be riding the tires off it so looks can be used but needs to flow as an overall concept.....

Melbs Mate....I think for the moment I will put badges back on....not shy to admit it is a Yamaha.. :P...Might have access to another tank, so maybe have both........Do you like the red grips....originals and in the 70's packet still when I got them off flea bay.....

They clash with the green pods, so one or the other has to go.

I think with colour you have to settle on bare metal with a base colour (black for you) and one highlight colour (red or green or gold etc.). The only other colour that can be added is a white detail - ie a red and white pinstripe on the tank etc.

Your grips already have the white detail going on and your tank decal is white, so you might want to find some red pods?

Don't go nuts on the red though or it starts to overpower the black.

Just my thoughts.

Lookin good.

The seat and tank go seriously well together.

Are you going to de-badge the tank or are you putting the badges back on?

It was a runner before I stripped it and started the transformation.........I have a new loom to put on now though and wire all the new parts up and thats about it.....your right about headlight Melbs----bit small----I have changed the bars to a set of low standards and looks more like a street tracker but much more comfy....but now the light looks even smaller....mmmm....revise change modify....continuous......I want to achieve a good flow with the bike yet be comfy and still have an individual stamp....so a work in progress....constant flow of spares coming though with the sideline hobby......upside down forks?  better not complicate it or it wont be sorted for summer......you all will get pics of my madness as it progresses and may look completely different by the finish.....thats custom building for ya.....

I reckon they should go before they look

That's a fair point.

Is it running yet Carl?

 Looking good Carl.

Seat looks great and might even have a level of comfort?

Not sure I'd agree with your choice of headlamp - too small, but everything else looks great to me. Like the crossover pipes.

I hope you are going to polish a mirror finish onto those casings?

Guys

the Deus Kwakas really are the look aren't they 8)
But the frigging price :o

I've built plenty of bikes myself and just can't see how they justify the cost ???

A cafe only works for me if you toil over it yourself, but yes the Deus stuff is definitely nice.
