That T20 cafe is a ripper. I have a real soft spot for Suzuki strokers after owning an X7. I would love to cafe one of them.

cafe racers, I love em, here is one I have
http://auction.netbikes.com.au/vjmw.php?dir=prot20&page=t20

and here is one I will be doing this year
http://auction.netbikes.com.au/vjmw.php?dir=yr3&page=yr3

and yet another I have embarked on is here
http://auction.netbikes.com.au/vjmw.php?dir=j1&page=kawasaki_j1

If ur interested and want a bigger project I have here a 900 bol'dor, pretty rough but it is all  there. $1000 buys it.

I am going to stick with the smaller bikes now, I get into too much trouble on the big ones these days, I am just going to keep one big bike for me and the wife to cruise on, I never speed with her on board.

I will check out the site. I will be posting up pics all the time.....likewise I am still working on the XS1100, but it is very close now. Put the pipes on after a marathon effort to build up a can, but it's done now....indicators on....brake light set up but not quite working proper (need a sparky).....fork oil to go and carbie clean and off to the roadworthy place....

That's OK. Got to finish the XS this next 2 weeks and get riding it again. Lots of time to find a good donor.

Be good if we could get a few ideas pictures in here.

Have you seen this site?

Some beautiful projects in there.

Possible base bikes include:

Honda CD250, CB250rs, CB250

Suzuki GN250

Yamaha SR250

Any others?

Would love to spend up big and do something like this ....

.... but that will require a lotto win.

I love a nice cafe racer and will embark upon building one soon.

I want to do a low budget cafe, so an XS650 is out of the ballpark. Maybe do something like this:

He's not finished it yet, but a really neat job on a poxy SR250

or this from a CL350 ....
