Shell Helix  15W- 40 for me.
It's done me well so far

Should help confuse you adequately. Actually, any good, old school oil will suffice. Just avoid those with friction modifiers in them.

Hey Jonesy,

I use Motul 5000 in the rebuilt 1198 engine.  No problems so far and in the older donk (RH) I use Motul 3000. again no problems.

just out of curiosity, what oil are you blokes using.
I'm using Castrol "farm bike plus" which is what the old "Grand Prix" became.
