revs flat out eh.......
assuming that it idled ok prior to pulling it down, and the throttle cable is ok, and you haven't touched the timing, try the knurled asdjuste that adjusts the idle - surprising how little it takes to make it rev high...

I finally got the engine back together and when I  got the bike to start after the second attempt it revs flat out.  :o  Carbies weren't rebuilt or pulled apart just hit with carby cleaner. Barrell wasn't pulled off either just replaced the gaskets for the head. Cams are lined up to the timming mark correctly ( I think)
Is it the timming out ? the throttle cable is free and works fine and I have tapped the carbies as well in case something was stuck... Any ideas would help.  Thanks, Jim. P.S It has taken nearly 3 months to do this as I can only work on it when my shoulder is not playing up  :(  so the carbies sat that long
