Why would you need a GPS to get to Bourke?
A 70's bike needs a 70's tank bag with a 70's Ampol map in the (now translucent rather than transparent) map pocket."

Clash of dates sees me with the AdvRider crew at Jingellic.  Not far from home, but I'll be going the long way, via Woomargama National Park.

See Ray......thats why you need  a GPS......or at least update that "  70 s Ampol map you use to a descent BP one........ that shows all the new fandangled  modern roads.

I have taken 2 days before and after as holidays so I may be leaving home (Arncliffe) on Thursday for an old bloke ride.
Then I will see how far I get, Orange sounds like a plan to me.
my mbls are
0418243503
0420619564
0410091188
one of these should get me?????

May just take it easy and do it in a day and a half from Sydney

Hey Christian, when are you thinking of getting there? Friday? or Saturday?

If you wanted to do the first leg on Thursday to Orange or there abouts, it would be a casual run through on Friday. Looks like a few of us may be hooking up there in the morning. It'd be awesome to have you swell the numbers.

have spoken to the Kidman hosts this morning and pencilled in 15 to 20 camp teas for those that don't feel like eating half warm stuff bought from town on the way thru,,

also,

we've hired a car so we can safely ferry goods {beer, bread, milk, food} and the odd person, to save every one riding in and out all day,,

at $95 for the day,, and 200 free klm, sounds a lot, but could rack up pretty quick

I'll try and make Molong [just out of Orange on the way to Dubbo] by 09:00 but if I'm not sittin on my arse by the side ofthe road when you get there pretend I'm somewhere else because I will be.

I will wait at the end of the main street near the railway station until 10:00.
