Hey Guy's,

sounds like it was an awesome weekend and everyone had a great time  :D, but what's happening with Xtian's bike and Xtian for that matter? Has he made arrangements to get his bike home to have it fixed, or is it getting fixed in Bourke?

Cheers: Phil

First and foremost,

Thank fellas (and Michelle) for a memorable weekend.  My bike clocked up more kms in the past 4 days than it had in the previous 20 years (10 years in milk crates).
It was fantastic to put faces to forum names and personalities of which there were PLENTY.  It was great to spend some time with like minded  people who share the same passion, our 30+yo motorcycles.
For those who couldn't make it, guys you missed out on a treat.

The collection of remarkable intimate knowledge at the rally picked that my bike was running sub  its full potential,  so out came the carbitune  to balance my cabs (they were out by a BIT) and then the witch doctor magic of the  colour tune to set the fuel mix (out by a bit more).  15 minutes latere and I have to say the transformation was remarkable and instantly noticable.  My bike purred all the way home to Sydney.

My only close call was a herd? pack? flock? of wild goats at 120.  just missed em.

Looking forward to Bourke 2013.  (this time I'll use a gel seat).

Cheers

Eddy

Oldest bike and rider arrived (complete with very nice trophy) in Sunny Canberra at 16:15 hours. No fast riding certificates were earned and no XS's were harmed in the making of the journey.
Thank you one and all for your company.

Particular thanks to Steptoe and the lovely Michelle for looking after us like Princes and Xtian and Steptoe for organizing accommodation and the whole great event.

Just arrived home about 1/2 an hour ago.
Great weekend! Fantastic bunch of blokes (political correctness applied here, Jonesy) and was terrific to finally put an end to internet anonymity.

Sleepy now......... but I'll be back later when I've come around a bit with some numbers etc.

OK, Awake now and unpacked.  Total distance for the trip down was 1120klms and the return leg via Brisvegas was exactly 1300 klms. Could have made it home earlier but a longish stop to fix Steptoes' headlight and a 1/2 hr+  chinwag with the gent at the Willowbank driver reviver added to the travel time. Had plenty of other rest breaks to recharge the bod and keep the head clear.

just a quick jump on say hi,

we've run the best part of 770 klm today, the bike has handled it effortlessly, considering we're the best of 450+ kg, 2 up with full panniers

got dumped rain on for 5 mins at the top of cunninghams gap, {just south of brissy} but after the fun corners, the rest has been dry running

have just completed a quick motel room side carby adjust, Bryan was saying she's a bit fumy following so I've done a needle drop

rhodie got to Brissy and has decided to err on the side of caution with the klm still to be done, and has regrettably pulled out
