we threw it open to the whole forum with a couple different options for a destination, the voting majority have chosen Bourke
so Bourke it is, the accomodation chosen is Kidmans camp, a park a couple of klm out of town to the north on the Mitchell H/way
Jonesy has done some enquiring
There are 4 cabins that sleep up to 5 in bunk style accommodation starting at $89/night for the first 2 heads through the door and then $15 each additional head. No ensuite but they are located opposite the ammenities block.
They have an additional 4 cabins that sleep 2-3 also in bunks (I think)
And then there are 10 ensuite cabins at $115 a single.
Tent sites $28 a double
Campfire on wed & fri nights with a feed and bush poet $20something a head
2 Covered areas where we can hangout with a few beers.....but would request we keep it low key after 9.30 out of respect for other guests.
May is getting into there peak period with grey nomads coming through on there winter migration from the south.
So an early booking would be the go.
most of the fella's I,ve talked to are happy with the camping arrangement, if you'd like to stay in town and make your own enquiries, and slip out to the camp area for the day feel free,
so no one misses out on a spot can you please pm me so a ruff number can be penciled in for that w/end, if your travelling light and would prefer a bunk in one of the cabins let me know that too
