the vac-unit is a non-issue,  you can run the vac-advance with any type/make/model of carb from a manifold spigot.   Connecting vacuum from a hole to the butterfly isn't necessary at all because it makes zero difference to the ride

with a simple manifold connection the engine purrs smoothly at idle with a advance of around 15 - 20 deg.    You also get extra advance when the throttle's shut on deceleration/over-run at high revs.

As soon as the throttle is touched,  the vac advance runs exactly how it always runs no matter what carbs you have.  The stock damper hole is only a tiny 0.5mm diameter,  a easily-made restrictor is a plug of araldite with a 0.5mm hole drilled thru jammed inside the vac hose

Use the Boyer and you don't need the vac advance unit so no need to drill the carbs.
BUT a job well done

this was the most challenging part of the operation for me - the tiny hole at the bottom of the 5mm dia hole

well Christian tracked them down for me . . . i modded the choke and vacuun advance line off my old set of Bs34's 8)
replaced the o rings, bolts. gaskets etc. using my jets and hot to trot. . . .
the trickiest bit was drilling the 0.78mm hole to enter the airway at the right place. . . .
they slip straight in . . still using the airbox . . . awsome
