Sorry Wiz.

Don't worry about returning it. I have a couple of other spares. Keep it until someone else needs it.

PM me your address and I'll post a pilot screw  up to you.

The main jet sizes changed quite a bit between models and some US models had jets as small as 110's.

Steptoe, you were right about getting the tip out, I ground a hard nail to a needle point & put a bend on it, broke the brass tip off flush & tapped it out. Still looking for a replacement screw. ;O(

ay wizz,
as far a broken tip, nothing to do but replace it,  is the broken piece of the tip siezed in the carb body or is it out, that,s going to be the sticky bit, a fine piece of high tensile wire ground to point with a 90 bend might push it out after a good dowsing of penetrene or such

with the turns out, I start with 2 1/2 out @ 1000 rpm and work from there, easiest way is get it to operating temp then wind them in till the motor starts to slow, then out till it starts to run faster, turn the idle down to 1k again and repeat with the other 3, might have to do a couple of times but you get the idea

whatever you've got for jets, run with them if you don't have the money for another set, you can compensate them with other adjustments in the carbs, ie needle slide heights

Can anybody help me out with a pilot screw, I have one with the tip broken.
I did post earlier about how many turns out on the PMS was default, as my book said 'pre-set' a member replied 2 1/2, I just saw at the front of the book, "pre-set, in brackets 1 1/4 turns out"
now I'm screwed, forgive the pun.
Also the carbs are fitted with 132.5 mains, my book says 137.5, which is correct ?
Then again the book says the carbs are Mikuni BS34 & the throat on my carbs measures 35mm, any ideas.
Thanks, Wiz.
