OOOOPS,

Didn't know that, It's too late now as I have fitted theme, wish I knew about the silicone spray.

That's the great thing about this site, you always learn something?

Hi all does anyone have a contact for carbie parts Im looking at replacing the four rubber boots [from carbie to cylinder head] to start with Many thanks Cooper
Hey Coops, I just replaced the ones on mine, as they were all cracked on the outside and I thought they were the reason the bike was running really bad down low, but the rubbers were all good on the inside, I have replaced them anyway and will keep the originals aswell, I think I payed about $98 delivered from the US earlier this year when our dollar was doing really e=well, and that included a gasket for each one also, althought the originals had no gasket, there is a place in SA that had some originals and want $400:00 for them, at that price they can keep them till they perish. I find a bit of WD helps the carbys slide in easier.

Good luck

Don't used WD40 on the rubber, it will stuff it.

Use Silicon spray
