If only this had been posted a couple of months ago. Too late for me now, as I've got mine already.
But I will say that the biggest hassle with the whole deal for me was trying to get money to TKAT.
Ray is dead right about the cost of moneygrams etc. so any way of minimising the outlay would be a good thing, eh? The braces are good quality kit and if you've ever bought something from the states, you'd know what their shipping fees are usually like so, with the US dollar the way it is at the moment, represents exceptional value for money.
One final bit, with all the "Frankenbikes" out there, the easiest way to tell which brace you need is
- if you have leading axle forks, you need a Special brace.
- if you conventional axle at bottom of slider forks, you need a Standard brace.
Just to be clear on what you need.

TKAT fork brace - anyone interest in a group buy?

I've been trying to buy a TKAT fork brace, direct from TKAT.
Trouble is that the cost of either an international draft or Western Union exchange is stupid - 30% of the value of each brace.

So, if anyone would like to join with me, I will arrange for 2, 3 or more fork braces. And Mr TKAT will get a cheque.  The cost is US$105, freight included.  AU$99.05 at   AU1.06:US1.00

cheers
