Try Mark at Maddingtons wreckers in Perth, He has just got hold of around 9 XS1100s in a container. I got an RH seat in very good nick last week.

i have a choice of tanks as it turns out.... A standard and an RH.....
Haven't seen them yet but will get the best one now  armed with this
knowledge.
I will mod my old one to suit  my 'bars and put an aircraft filler in it

you are correct about the crash bars..... That is a split in it ... Saved a lot of damage to engine case
for sure.
I think i have a spare set "in stock" did have anyhoo
its nuts not to use them - i have seen the timing side of the engine
scraped clean  to the crank end on mates  Laverda after road testing their leathers
Of course, ideally its best not to crash but the more klms one does
increases ones  odds of an off...... ::)

the Acewell  speedo/taco  has a fuel gauge

I have fitted the 3853 model

Yes it will go straight on, though you'll have a slight gap at the top where the seat meets it. You will have to get the taps & cap to match the tank, or some adapters to fit your pingel's to it (might go straight on if you've had to adapt them for your original tank). The fuel gauge sender unit will fit in the hole under the tank but will be on the other side and upside down so it won't work, though i don't think a fuel gauge was high on the agenda on Lucrezia anyway, was it? Or did that shcmicko looking bicycle gauge thingie have more features than the obvious?
Sorry I couldn't help you in your quest for a standard tank as the only one I've got looks worse than yours after it fell off the bench that other time.

BTW, the marks left on the LH engine case guard look like it's taken the brunt of the damage, as opposed to maybe having the timing cover and maybe pickups ripped off the motor. What are your thoughts on that?

Today Lucrezia came home..on a trailer.
Rolled her off, paid the courier (Jimmi Walker - writes for Used and Classic Bike Enthuisast magazine),
turned on the fuel, popped the choke, hit the switch and it started - she has never let me down!
some pics .....

I can't see that the forks are bent, there is no damage to the wheel and no marks on them so here's hoping.
I'll know more after disassembly ...
