Hey Edgey

considering I got a complete bike thrown in (in the background of above photo) with them for about $700 more than what I was looking at to get a set made. I reckon it was very favourable maybe even a fair bit cheaper 8)

Dont tell Eveready......but I got onto them through the Ebay section on this forum :-X

Hey Jonesy,

That 4-2 looks excellent mate!  I'm glad you were finally able to get hold of one - they do look and sound good I reckon.  My patch job of the original pipes is holding up nicely, so hopefully they'll keep me going for a while.

Were they a reasonable price compared to the custom-made job you were considering?

Edgey.

Finally got the system fitted after doing a small repair and sourcing a new muffler clamp. looks like a PO had ridden over a kerb or something and dug the clamp for #3 header into it and squashed the pipe.

Its the first time I've ridden an XS with an origiinal system in about 30 years.....Its acomplete transformation in power delivery from a 4-1 system. I thought I had that little flat spot sorted but the 4-2 really smoothed it right out.

The photo I put up is the system made by Heinz the one on ebay is one of his being sold by an ebay retailler.
Also the ebayer (The tired Kraut) has lots of bits but is quite expensive.

When Heinz builds a set of pipes he likes to have the bike to measure up.......they all have their own little twists  ;D ;D that need to be matched up
