Yup, got that much, just thought the document-box Jos is looking for is the little box behind the seat, and not a fullsize Venture-like topbox, since it would be kinda awkward to enter a solo-seated bike as tall as XS650/1100 with one of those...

But perhaps i`m mistaken, and if so stand duely corrected  ;D

He needs the parts for an XS650 Police bike he is restoring but he thinks that the Australian XS1100 Police bike had the same rear topbox he is after.

Don`t remember where i read it, but somewhere along the road building my danish website i came across some info, that they had the XS1100`s Jos van Meel is referring to in South Africa also.

They used to have some sort of community regarding XS11 down there, maybe that`s still up and going.

Could be worth looking in to for him?  :)

Can't find any reference to it. xs1100 or xs650: "The partnumber is : 1E5-92452-70"

Netherlands Parts Request

Dear reader,
My name is Jos van Meel from the Netherlands.
I write to you beause i found your email address on the  German XS1100 site
 I am a member of the Dutch yamaha XS650 twin klub and I am looking for a part that was also used on the XS1100.

Why write all the way tot Australia?
 
The Queensland Police has been riding the XS 1100 in a police version.
I've got a xs650 police version from Iran (from the sjah in Persia before the ayatollah got into power).
And as far as my research is done the Queensland police had a document box on the back and that is the same box that is supposed to be on the back of my bike. ( and is still missing)
The partnumber is : 1E5-92452-70
 
My question to you:
Would it be possible that you bring me into contact with people within Australia who might be able to give me more information about the document box or maybe even know where i might be able to buy me a box like that from a XS 1100 ?
 
I send you pictures from my xs650 P and one from the fiche with the part I am looking for (#4)
