Since the idea of the oil bottle cruise control was so warmly accepted  :-* I was just checking to see if you were all fitted up with the free cruise control for the long straights to Bourke
I shall be waving with my now free and well rested throttle hand as I pass you shaking yours to get blood flow back and your speed dies off doing so  :P 8) ;D

My dad Frank, said that Ken used to use his matches  to jamb the throttle of his Gold Flash or his Road Rocket three.

My uncle used to use matchsticks. My concern is that if something happened, with fault to be decided, I don't think an insurance company would see liability as theirs!

Aside..... from having to physically return the throttle between every gear change on the way up to Bourke ?
Or the plastic changing from soft to harder in the sun and cooler weather?

............ hmmmmmmmmmmm

Is it too late to plastic weld that perfectly once good container back together?

I see a new medical phenomena occuring........."Reverse Throttle Wristitis". (RTW)

A completely different scenario to Bryans woes......Medically referred to as "OffOnya Assitis" (OOA)

Either of these friction/palm rest controls should bear this ....

"Warning before use....you may suffer from.....RTW or OOA..."
With an accompanying pic of Bryan out of action.....being attended to.

I think we may have a new...... Public Awareness / RTA campaign.
( A picture is worth a thousand words ...although.....we might have to photoshop Bryans smile and 2 finger salute out of the pic .)
Maybe Bryan was delirious after the off.......thought he was still at the bar........and was ordering up 2 beers...........we may never know!!!

Take on old plastic oil container. Cut it up into donut like discs of approx Inside diameter of 30mm X outside diameter of 50mm cut a slot like in photo and insert between switch block and throttle twist grip. keep adding discs until enough friction to hold grip from returning but very little effort to overcome friction. mine eventually used 10 discs I did this to my old XJ 650 commuter so I could warm my hans on the motor during winter trips to work. Just did it to the XS too and its hardly noticable to look at. you'll be able to give the right hand a rest on the way to Bourke 8)
