You did such a good job my bike will be delivered to your place for a similar treatment.

Payment will be the priviledge of washing a classic Japanese Bike.

Just let me know when you want it there

Feels good doing a bit on the bike again. Neriel will be calling it "the other woman" any tick of the clock now.
Got it in the garage now (too many bugs out there at night). First it's clean, now it's lean!
Towbar and rack removed, S&W airsprings back on with 45lb in them, shiny baby pillion pegs back on.
It's about as light as it's ever going to be now, except for the horns. Aint nothing going to make me take them off again. Too valuable a lifesaving device to be worried about saving a couple of kilos.
Oh, and the lights are staying too. Same reason as the horns.

I finally got a break in the showers we've been having all week. Too wet to mow, too little time to attempt the myriad jobs needing to be done around the place, so I got stuck into the bike and gave it something it's deserved for a long time. A bath!

Took me a while to get through the road grime and bugs at the front of the motor, but managed to get most of it off using a combination of degreaser and then a mix of bug 'n tar and hand cleaner. I used a toothbrush to get into most of the little nooks in the cases but the barrels will be left till another day. Anyone got any handy tips on how they clean up the motor as this is about as good as it's gonna get using my current system?
Also discovered the left shock's decided to empty itself all over the diff so I'm going back to my old S&W's till a new pair can be obtained. Funny the things you see while giving the bike a clean, eh?

I'm going to try to keep it looking this way as it's a lot easier to clean if you haven't got six months worth of travelling to dig through before it begins to shine.

Childers style bike security system is now activated
