Hey Eddie,

I'm interested, frame hardware would also be required in my case?

Cheers

Oh got you thinking did I  ;)
I am also after something that I haven't been able to find of the ebay screen. I like that one Bryan but I have decided to go back to the rectangular headlight and I am thinking even more minimalist without a screen.
Something like this but for the rectangular headlight

Plenty of fibreglass repair experience but been trying to work out the build process with a mold so hands up anyone with mold skills for advice.

sounds like a silly question - but what does a proper RH fairing look like - can I see some pics pls....
I want a 'bar fairing of some sort myself but haven't seen "the one" yet but something like this

Then all you need to do is find an 8 inch headlight to fit the hole.

If you'll find one in Ebay and you're not sure if it fit the "RH" model ask the seller if the part # is starting with 4E2-xxxxx-xx-xx
All the parts of the big headlight will start with this 4E2 code.
This headlight was also used for the XJ650 till '81, some European SR500 '80 - '83 and some more.

Here are some oem #:
Headlight Rim 4E2-84315-00
Headlight Ring 4E2-84395-00
Headlght Body 4E2-84330-00-93 (this is the part # for a chromed one, so the part ' for a black should be similar but also have to start with 4E2)

Got talking to a bloke at work who used to be a Shipwright in a previous life.

His speciality was GRP and we got talking fibre glass stuff.

End result is he is going to make me a mould for an RH fairing (including the inside bit and the front underside bit). The Eagle Screens replica screen will fit straight on.

I'll make a prototype as soon as I've got the mould.

So? is there any interest out there for RH Fairings??????

I suppose when the mould is made you can pick any colour gelcoat you like.

I've had a quick look at the mounting hardware and it would not be too difficult to replicate close to original.
