I'd suggest a good spray with WD-40 and give it a chance to loosen up, maybe o/night and see how you go.

Just put a screw driver through the pin holes (right side where rear brake is) and tried to twist it - wont budge. Doesnt seem promising. I, too, was under the assumption that the axle just slides out...

have u loosened the 12mm lock bolt?
u should be able to pop in a Phillips head in the hole of the axle
and twist it out,
other than that I cant think of anything else that would hold it in.

Hi all,

I'm trying to remove my rear wheel to put a tyre on but am having trouble removing it. The axle doesnt seem to want to budge when I hit it. Am I going about it the wrong way?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Duc
